BERG PlayBase: Frames, Sets and Accessories
Four steel frames from €999, with swings, climbing and fitness accessories you can swap as the children grow.
What the PlayBase is
The BERG PlayBase is a steel frame, powder-coated over a zinc layer, with a run of monkey-bar rungs across the top. Accessories hang from carabiner points on the frame, so a baby seat can give way to a swing, and a swing to gym rings or a boxing bag, without changing the frame.
- Four frames: one that fixes to a wall and three that stand free.
- Every frame is 1m deep and 2.45m high, with a 400kg maximum total load.
- For ages 3 and up, and CE marked.
- Black or Green.
- Frame warranty of 10 years, or 13 years when you register the frame with BERG.
- A steel frame needs no treating or staining.

Frames side by side
| Frame | Width | Carabiner points | Swing-type accessories at once | How it is held | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wall | 1.2m | 3 | one or two | Fixed to a wall | €999 |
| Medium | 2.85m | 4 | two | Base sections anchored in the ground | €1,349 |

The Wall frame fixes to a load-bearing brick or block wall: a house, a garage or a solid shed. It cannot go on a fence, a timber panel or a hollow partition.
The Medium, Large and Extra Large stand free, held by base sections anchored in the ground. No concrete is needed.
BERG's manual gives the free space each frame needs around it. We check that against your garden in the free garden consultation, so measure the spot and send a photo or two.
TL, TT and LL: the two ends
Each end of a free-standing frame is either a tumble bar or a ladder.
- TL: one tumble bar and one ladder. The one most families choose.
- TT: two tumble bars.
- LL: two ladders, for monkey-bar style climbing.
| Ends | Medium | Large |
|---|---|---|
| TL | €1,499 | €1,749 |
| TT | €1,349 | €1,599 |

The Medium and Large are sold in all three. For the Extra Large, ask us which ends are available.

Who it suits
- Families with children of different ages: a baby seat, a swing and gym rings can hang side by side on the larger frames.
- Gardens with little lawn to spare: the Wall frame is 1.2m wide and uses a wall you already have.
- Households with teenagers or adults who would use a pull-up bar, dip bar or boxing bag.
- Anyone who wants one frame to last through several stages, changing the accessories and keeping the frame.
We supply and deliver the PlayBase; we do not assemble it. BERG's manual covers assembly, and we can put you in touch with an independent installer. See who does the installation.
